Dish of King Minos A recipe based on historical records of the Minoan eating habits, which, with the very first bite, will travel you to the palace of Knossos at the table of King Minos.
Pork with legumes, cereals, wild herbs and, leek and carob, cooked in a Minoan clay pot - a genuine copy of the Minoan era.
“Gamopilafo” the traditional “wedding rice” that is served in Cretan weddings to this day. Boiled in lamb and chicken broth and finished with traditional “Stakovutero” butter.
“Kaltsounia” small pies of handmade dough with tsikoudia and filling of spinach, myzithra cheese and fresh herbs, baked in the cinder.
“Patuda" of Pasiphae a traditional sweet blooming with rose water and sweet filling with nuts, aromatic cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, honey, olive oil, tsikoudia and lye (handmade ashwater), that conceals the fragrances of Crete.
